Aged care domestic assistance is practical household help designed to keep your home liveable and support your independence. Under My Aged Care, domestic assistance includes general house cleaning, laundry and shopping assistance. GNA Services can also arrange related meal, gardening, respite or social supports where these are separately approved or privately arranged.
The cost depends on how you access the service and your individual circumstances. Support at Home participant contributions can apply to domestic assistance as an Everyday Living service; CHSP clients generally make an agreed contribution, and DVA Veterans' Home Care has its own co-payment arrangements. Private services are also available. GNA Services can explain current pricing before support begins.
We aim to provide consistent support where possible because familiar workers can make home assistance more comfortable. Continuity depends on worker availability, your schedule and service requirements. If arrangements need to change, our team will communicate with you and work to maintain continuity.
